DDL must be Version 3.6.0.07 --- 03-Jun-2016 (or later) -- Open DDL, Look at the top Menu bar on the left. If your version is not the same or later version, you will need to download and Install the current version from the download page.
Downloading/Updating Problems. If you are using Internet Explorer 11 and keep getting a message saying "the signature of this program is corrupt or invalid" Click here
If your DDL software has went back to trial mode, or deactivated: Please read the FAQ section for other reasons the software will deactivate
If you do not download and install the new update, DDL WILL STOP accepting new data, you will still be able to Print, or look at old logs, you just will not be able to add new data, till the program is updated and reactivated.
Once you sent in an email (containing all the information on the Purchase/Registration screen) it can take 12 to 24 hours to receive your code, Keep a paper log with you all all times to avoid being shut down, or placed out of service. If you send an email during the hours 0400am to 16:00pm (EST) you will receive it with in a few hours. After 1600 will be the following day. Plan ahead.
There are 15 other reasons the software will deactivate, all require an update and a new activation code. see FAQ section on the web site. Look for Activation Problems for more information.
Deleting or restoring the computer to an earlier time will NOT fix the problem and make cause more problems. Only downloading and installing and reactivating will solve the problem. If you do uninstall or delete, you will need a new Activation Code, as the InstallationID will be different.
Updating the software is required, as bugs are fixed, Hours of Service Hours updated and new or changed interpetations are release by FMCSA, Features are added or improved. The whole reason to running DDL software, is to avoid tickets and being placed out of service. Updating every couple of months, and read the web site and FAQ section will make using DDL software much easier and avoid delays and problems with the software. If your copy is showing xx days, then you need to update before it gets to 0 days. As the software will stop accepting new data, until updated and activated.
