SCANWARE PRINT MODULE QUESTIONS: FAQ -- SCANWARE PRINT MODULE Below you will find questions and answers for common problems, and emails that we have received from drivers. Simple click on the Question (Blue Link), and you will be taken to that question area. Q: My Company is using Scanware-ScanLog Software with number 210, How do I set up your program with my company number, so that I may print and turn in my log's sheets fastest and with fewer errors? A: The steps to accomplish this are: 1. Download the latest DDL and Install it, Close DDL down, Download and Install the latest Scanware module and Install it. 2. Start DDL 3. Click on PRINT on the top tool bar. 4. Click on PRINT using Print Module. 5. Click on SCANWARE Print Module from the list of available Print Modules. 6. Click on SETTINGS.... from the top tool bar 7. Open SELECT SCANWARE SCANNABLE PRINTED LOG SHEET 8. Click on the Radio Button next to the number of the log your Company is using. (Note: This only has to be done the first time you run the print module.) 8. Click on OK at the Top.. Note: Very important to do this or your setting will not be saved. This is a one time deal, unless you change companies then just return here and follow the steps again to choose you new company.
Q: I have downloaded and installed the scanware module and went to setting and pick my company number, now how do I print my log? A: Follow the following steps: 1. Start DDL 2. Click on PRINT on the top tool bar. 3. Click on PRINT using Print Module. 4. Click on SCANWARE Print Module from the list of available Print Modules. 5. If you use one with the DDVIR then open DDVIR check the boxes that apply. Special secret: Only on this Scanware version can you check the block "Signature Of Mechanic Making Repairs" This will open a box so you can put the shop's name and City/State and Invoice # where work was performed. 6. To print your log open PRINT PREVIEW then after checking that your happy and all items are filled in correctly. Click PRINT. Q: My Company requires their drivers to show special items on their log sheet, I have it enable in DDL, but when I print using Scanware it is not printing. How do I enable it to print on my Scanware Log sheet?
A: Follow the steps below: 1. Start DDL 2. Click on PRINT on the top tool bar. 3. Click on PRINT using Print Module. 4. Click on SCANWARE Print Module from the list of available Print Modules. 5. Click on SETTINGS.... from the top tool bar 6. Open SELECT SCANWARE SCANNABLE PRINTED LOG SHEET 7. Now place a check in any of the boxes you want to print while use Scanware. 8. Click OK at the top. Note: Very important to do this or your setting will not be saved. Q: When I use the SCANWARE print module it always prints 218 Landstar log, how do I get it to print my company logs? A: By default DDL selects Landstar # 218, you must follow the steps outlined above to change to a different log.
