DDL Activation Code Request Information In all cases you must download and Install DDL or the Update before requesting a activation code. Example you download 3 weeks ago. Then Yes you need to re-download and Install. The version on the web site is always the latest version. Please read all of the information below to avoid delays and problems in activating DDL. There are a few steps that need to be completed in order to receive a current activation code. Once submitted it will take from 12 to 48 hours to receive your Activation Code. (99% in under 12 hours). After 5:00pm EST it will be the following morning. During the day (0500 to 1700 EST), we process emails every few hours, so check your email. These steps apply to all request. i.e. New Activation, Re-Activation, Trial, and Extensions. Step 1. Add the following email address to your email account, frbjorklund@driversdailylog.com We are aware of the following email accounts that will block our email, so you would not receive your activation code if this step is not completed. Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Hotmail, Live, Gmail, EarthLink, SBCGlobal.net, to name a few, to be on the safe side, please add the email address above. If you do not receive an Email in 12-48 hours (99% in under 12 hours), we are being blocked by your email manager, there is nothing we can do on our end. Please check with them to find out how to fix this problem, then complete the request again. Step 2. Download and Install the latest DDL software from our web site today, Even if you have it installed, you will need to update before we can issue an Activation Code. If you have downloaded and installed today, then you can skip this step. (We do not activate old software. so check that your version number. Is it the same or higher than what is listed on the Download page? This will save time and delays). The latest version can be found by clicking on the link to the right. Click here to open Download page This needs to be done regardless of the version you have or don't have installed now. Please update your version every couple months. DO NOT UNINSTALL OR DELETE DDL FIRST. If you do, you will have to get a new Activation Code every time. Step 3. Activating DDL or Re-Activating DDL is very easy. Download the current version (step 2), and complete an email (from your email account) using the information below. We must have the information below to process your request. Send the EMAIL using your email program, the email button inside of DDL is for advance users and require a knowledge of MAPI and requires MAPI be install and running on your computer. Computers DO NOT come set up with MAPI. When you receive our email please complete Step 5. Open DDL program and click on the Activate/Purchase button on the splash screen. If there is no splash screen, then click on the InstallationID number on the top of DDL tool bar. (image below)
This will open the Activation dialog form. Please complete all fields to speed up the request process, we will need to match you to a sales record or issue a 30 day Trial if not a customer. After complete the information in the fields, please click on the Copy Activation Information and User Information to 'clipboard' button. (image below)
Note: We also have a Form on the Internet you can click on this link Request for Activation Code Form If you do not receive an Activation Code within 48 hours, please send again using the email method above. Step 4. This is only a sample please do not copy and send this, we need your information. Open your email client. Enter a New email and place the following information in the following fields: To... field; frbjorklund@driversdailylog.com cc... field; bruce@driversdailylog.com Subject: field; DDL- Request for Activation Code. In the message body area, Right click with your mouse and click on Paste. If done correctly, your information will appear. That's it. Now click Send (image below). Make sure it leaves your outbox, before closing your email client.
You can also add any other information in the message body needed. Step 5. When you receive your email from us containing your Activation Code, then Open DDL Activation/Purchasing dialog screen (see Step 3 above). 1st - Enter your DDLID in the DDLID field. This number is very important for support and to receive new/reactivation codes in the future. So PRINT and SAVE off this computer. Save a copy of this email online if possible, then it can be access from any computer. (image below) 2nd - Enter the Activation Code in the Activation Code field. (check the letters and numbers closely as a letter O and I can look like a number O and 1 on some computers, just below the Activation Code in the email, we will tell you what it should be. Numbers will be large, letters will be small. When you have enter the last number/letter a screen will appear. Click on Process Activation button. (image below)
